Best-seats guide · Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
The best seats on the Scoot Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
The Scoot Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner seats 375 passengers across 2 cabins. Every row below is rated on legroom, location and distance from galleys and lavatories.
Scoot operates the stretched 787-9 with a more generous ScootPlus section than its shorter sibling — 35 seats in a two-three-two abreast layout — followed by a large three-three-three Economy cabin. As a low-cost long-haul carrier, Scoot does not offer flat-beds or full service, but the Dreamliner airframe means better air quality and pressure than older aircraft at a comparable price point.
ScootPlus window seats on the A and K sides are the pick for privacy; travelling solo in the centre three is the least comfortable arrangement. Economy stretches back through most of the fuselage — the front rows of Economy are quickest to board and deplane, the over-wing section offers the steadiest ride, and the rows at the very back near the rear galleys and lavatories are the noisiest. Aisle seats suit restless flyers; windows suit those who sleep leaning against the fuselage.

Frequently asked
The Scoot 787-9 has a noticeably larger ScootPlus section than the 787-8 variant — 35 seats arranged two-three-two abreast. That gives more route options for booking ScootPlus, though the seats themselves remain recliner-style rather than flat-bed.
Three-three-three Economy on the 787-9 is a standard widebody pitch and width — reasonable for shorter long-haul sectors, tighter on very long overnights. The Dreamliner cabin at lower altitude helps with fatigue. A window seat and a good neck pillow go a long way on any route over six hours.
The rearmost rows near the rear lavatories and galley cluster attract the most foot traffic and noise — especially on longer flights where queues form. Rows immediately behind the ScootPlus divider can also have limited recline. Mid-cabin rows over the wing are the sweet spot for ride stability and relative quiet.
