Using SeatMap.app

SeatMap.app is free to use for your own personal travel research. You can add extras through an optional paid subscription, SeatMap Pro, set out below. The seat maps are a reference, not a booking tool. Airlines change cabin configurations, swap aircraft, and reassign seats, so check with your carrier before you book, pay for, or rely on a specific seat.

Your account

You do not need an account to browse. If you create one, keep your login details private, give us accurate information, and do not share your account or use someone else's. You are responsible for activity under your account.

SeatMap Pro subscription

SeatMap Pro is an optional paid subscription that adds features on top of the free site. You need a SeatMap account to subscribe.

Price. Pro costs US$6.99 per month or US$59 per year. The yearly plan works out at around 30% less than paying by the month. Prices are in US dollars. If we change the price, we will tell you first, and the new price only applies from a following renewal.

Billing and renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly to match the plan you chose, until you cancel. There is no free trial: Pro is billed from the day you subscribe. Payment is taken by our payment processor, Stripe. You enter your card details directly with Stripe, and we do not see or store your full card number.

Cancelling and refunds. You can cancel at any time from your account page, or by emailing hello@seatmap.app. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then your account returns to the free plan. We do not offer voluntary or pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a period, except where required by law, including the Australian Consumer Law. If a renewal payment fails, you keep your Pro access while our payment processor retries it. If it never clears, your subscription ends and your account returns to the free plan. What Pro includes. Pro lets you track up to 10 flights at once for provider-reported scheduled aircraft changes, where the free plan covers one. Seat Advisor and the supported Upgrade Bid calculator are also Pro features. Availability limits shown with a feature form part of its description.

Flight watches. A watch compares aircraft information returned by our flight-data provider. It does not confirm the aircraft that will operate the flight or a seat assigned by the airline. A watch ends at 00:00 UTC two days after the saved flight date. Provider updates can be late or absent, and email can be delayed or missed, so check the airline before relying on an alert.

Reviews and contributions

Reviews must be based on flights you have actually taken. Do not post anything false, abusive, unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights. You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, moderate, and make technical adaptations to it only as needed to operate and promote SeatMap. This licence ends when the contribution is deleted, except for copies required for backup, evidence, or legal reasons. We may reject or remove contributions that break these rules. For a complaint or takedown request, email hello@seatmap.app with the page and your reason.

Our content and data

The site, its design, the written seat tips, and the compiled seat-map data are owned by SeatMap.app or its licensors. You are welcome to use them for your own personal, non-commercial travel planning. You may not scrape, bulk-copy, republish, or resell our data or content without written permission.

Airlines and third-party data

A map can use airline material, independent references, structured extraction, or editorial checks, as recorded for that map. Sources and checks vary. We cannot promise that every detail is complete, current, or right for a particular flight. Airline names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. SeatMap.app is an independent service and is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by any airline.

Service limits

The site can be unavailable, delayed, or contain errors. Seat maps, recommendations, flight data, and alerts are travel-planning aids. They do not replace the airline's booking, operational, safety, accessibility, or seat-assignment information.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a consumer guarantee, remedy, or other right that the law says cannot be excluded. Where the law allows a limitation, SeatMap is responsible only to the extent required by that law. You remain responsible for checking airline information and making your travel decisions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms prospectively when the service, law, or our operating needs change. If a change materially reduces a paid feature or affects an active subscription, we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect where practicable. The terms in place when you use the service apply to that use; a new version does not rewrite an earlier dispute.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
