Cyprus Airways A320
Cyprus Airways is the revived carrier of Cyprus, flying from Larnaca across the eastern Mediterranean and into Europe. Its fleet centres on the Airbus A220 with an A320 alongside, a modern and quiet pairing for the medium-haul routes it serves.
The seat question here turns on whether your aircraft carries a real business cabin or runs as a single economy class, because the airline operates both. The maps make that distinction clear before you choose.
We hold several A220-300 layouts and an A320. Two of the A220 configurations carry a real Business cabin in a 2-2 recliner arrangement up front, with economy behind.
The remaining A220 layout and the A320 run as a single economy class from front to back, with the forward rows sometimes curtained off as a flexible zone using the same seat as the rest of the cabin. It is the same hardware throughout, so the front here buys position rather than a wider seat.
Where a real Business cabin is fitted on the A220, it is a 2-2 recliner with more width and pitch than economy, a proper front-cabin experience rather than a blocked middle. That is the layout to look for if space matters.
On the single-class A220 and the A320, everyone sits in the same economy seat. The A220 is a notably quiet and comfortable aircraft for the class, with a wide 2-3 layout that gives more shoulder room than a typical narrowbody.
First, check which layout you are on, because two of the A220 maps have a real Business cabin and the third plus the A320 do not. If you want the recliner, book the aircraft that actually fits it.
In economy on the A220, the pair of seats on the two-seat side of the 2-3 cabin is the sweet spot for couples who want no middle neighbour and an aisle within reach. Front rows and exit rows carry the most legroom on both the A220 and the A320.
