The A321 adds more Economy rows without significantly expanding Business, so the Economy cabin is notably longer. The passenger experience in each cabin class is broadly similar — same seat product, same service model — but the A321 feels more of a mass-transit aircraft in Economy.

Exit rows are typically reserved for passengers who meet the safety assistance criteria — generally adults who can operate the exit — and Etihad charges extra for them on most fares. Booking as early as your fare allows is the best strategy, particularly on popular routes.

All Economy seats recline unless the row immediately in front of an exit is restricted by design. The very last row typically abuts the rear bulkhead and has no recline at all — that is the row to check before confirming any back-of-plane seat.
