A widebody on domestic trunks like Perth–Sydney and Perth–Melbourne — a clear step up: twin aisles board and clear faster, the cabin feels roomier, and the air's better than a 737. Business is the same 1-2-1 lie-flat as the international jet. These also get pulled onto Asian routes when capacity's tight, so you might find yourself on one heading to Singapore.
Lie-flat Business on a domestic flight is a genuine luxury — worth it on the five-hour Perth transcon if an upgrade or a fair fare comes up. The Economy exit rows are the value pick: real extra legroom on a domestic service, which is rare. Aisle seats give you more freedom than any narrowbody.
The back of the widebody is a long walk to the forward lavatories with rear-galley noise. The centre pair in Economy is boxed in on both sides — fine for a 90-minute hop, less so Perth–Sydney.
