It is a meaningfully better seat design on a quieter, newer airframe.
Economy on the A330-900neo is two-four-two — eight seats across rather than the nine-abreast three-three-three on the 787. The per-seat width is slightly more generous than nine-abreast Economy, though the four-seat centre block remains the obvious downside for solo passengers who draw an inner position.
