Window seats on each side are the most private; the centre pairs work well for companions travelling together. All seats convert to fully flat beds, which makes this a genuinely competitive long-haul business product.

The nine-abreast three-three-three layout is relatively common on A330-300 operators aiming for higher density, though some carriers still run eight-abreast two-four-two. Three-three-three on the A330 is tighter than two-four-two but still less dense than the ten-abreast 777. For seat width, the middle seat of any triple is the compromise position; window and aisle seats are more comfortable on a long sector.

The A330-300 is a conventional twin-engine widebody — not a Dreamliner, so the cabin altitude and humidity are closer to older aircraft standards than the 787 series. On sectors under eight hours this makes little practical difference; on longer overnight flights, the difference in cabin environment compared to a 787 becomes more noticeable. If Hainan offers the 787-9 on a competing route, it is worth factoring in for very long sectors.
