Jetstar A320neo · 186 seats
The A320neo has newer Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines that are 15-20% more fuel-efficient and meaningfully quieter than the older A320. For the airline, that's significant. For passengers, the experience is almost identical: 188 seats at 29-inch pitch, no seatback entertainment, no power outlets. The cabin is slightly quieter and the air quality is marginally better thanks to newer environmental systems, but the seat is the same. The sharklet wingtips and new engines don't change the 29-inch reality.
Same strategy as the A320: forward rows for deplaning, window or aisle to avoid middle seats, exit rows if the pitch actually differs (check the specific seat map). The quieter cabin means rear rows are slightly less punishing than on the older A320, but they're still the worst seats on the aircraft.
Rows 28-36 are still louder and further from exits. Middle seats at 29 inches are still uncomfortable. The neo improvements benefit the airline's economics more than the passenger's comfort -- don't expect a different experience just because it's a newer aircraft.
This Jetstar Airbus A320neo features 186 seats in a Economy configuration. Our analysis has identified 26 seats rated as "Best" or "Good" for comfort and convenience.
