The A321-200 handles routes roughly in the two-to-four hour range — Istanbul to European capitals or Middle Eastern cities. It is a medium-haul workhorse, so seat comfort matters more than it would on a brief regional hop.

Bulkhead seats offer good legroom, but the trade-off is that you cannot stow anything under the seat in front during take-off and landing, and armrests are often fixed. Families with infants are sometimes assigned bulkhead rows too, so factor that in if you prefer a quieter position.

On a three-three narrowbody, the window seats give you a wall to lean against and one fewer neighbour — making them popular for longer daytime sectors or any flight where you want to rest without being disturbed.
